Turkey Day, Black Friday, and all things that come with Thanksgiving weekend

I apologize for not writing in so long, really I do. I've been soooo busy. But I suppose thats no excuse. Thanksgiving was delicious I think I gained 500 thousand pounds. I only went to two Thanksgivings this year although it felt like more because of all the food I ate. I got to see lots of family that I haven't seen in ages. That was nice. I must say I was a little disappointed in the lack of leftovers. I totally went to the fridge two days later and expected there to be tons of leftovers and there were like none. I was not a happy camper.

Anyway the next day Ian and I woke up at 5 and went and got hot chocolate and then met Amanda to go black friday shopping. I must admit that I was expecting pushing, shoving, fighting...you know all the usual black friday horrors you hear about. Nope...nadda...not one little fight. It was actually calm. We got lots accomplished. By 8 o'clock we had been in like 5 stores, the mall and Toys R Us. We then went back to Amandas apartment and slept and watched the Big Bang Theory which I might add she got for 10 bucks while we were out black friday shopping. Then we went to the festival of trees. Which was very Christmasy but fun. Amanda got Rick some fudge and there were some pretty awesome trees and gingerbread houses. I liked it. That night we got to babysit my two little cousins. One is 2 and the other is only like 4 weeks old and is so adorable!

So all in all I can honestly say I had a pretty awesome Thanksgiving weekend and that people shouldn't be so scared of black Friday. So ya gotta get up a little early. As long as you have a plan and go early its really not that bad. Plus its totally worth all the savings and you can always sleep later:)

Morning adventures

Ugggggggghhh what a day. I wanted to sleep in really I did. But no first my mom came in at 7 to ask me if I wanted to go to NYC sometime in December. I love my mom but really I'm not coherent at 7am she should know better although I do love NYC. Then the damn dog decided to escape or well I guess she didn't decide to escape, someone left the door open. I don't know who but if I figure it out I will slap them. I spent 45 minutes looking for her. Well my parents and I did. We were slightly freaked out because we are right around the corner from Charles Street. I saw her like 8 times, thats probably an exaggeration but it was close to that. Every time I saw her she would dart into some other hilly, muddy, slippery, thorny god awful place. It was so aggravating. Obviously the words "SIT!" and "COME!" meant nothing to her today. Then I thought I was going to get lucky because she came strolling down Cheasapeake Ave. and I was like YES there she is and she was coming straight to me. But of course this dumb ass stupid ugly bitch of a woman decided to speed up which of course scared Hailey off again. Lovely! So after some more searching and Ian coming over to help we managed to catch her. Thank the lord! My parents went off to work and all was good until I realized she had rolled in something that smelled like ass. Great! So I forced her into the tub to wash her because she had something gross all matted under her ears. I use the word force loosely because it was more like tackling because she really hates baths or just getting wet for that matter. Sometimes I think she thinks shes a cat because every other dog I have had likes water. She runs from it as if it were going to burn her to the ground. So finally after much tackling and me of course being soaking wet I finally got her bathed and thus could enjoy the rest of my day off which consisted of me doing laundry and de-hairing the bathroom and tub. I don't think I have ever hated dog hair as much as I did today. Ah well at least this afternoon I had some peace and quiet.

la la la la la la la....really?

I have no idea what to say right now cuzzz its just been one of those days. Crazy but not crazy at the same time. Plus having to deal with the amount of stupid people I had to deal with tonight kind of turned my brain to mush. I hesitate to call people stupid because really when someone calls you stupid it doesn't generally feel good. It's a stronger word then most people think. But seriously when you come up and ask me if a toilet brush is a paper towel holder I have to wonder what is going on in your brain. Then I had the lady ask me to cut vinyl. Sure no problem. Well it wasn't a problem until I cut the 3 yards she wanted and was then asked to let her lie on it while I traced her. Seriously?

1. I had never met this woman...so that was awkward
2. And I say this as nicely as possible she was wider than the vinyl...how was I supposed to tell her that...sorry lady but you don't fit on it. Gee that would have gone well
3. Isn't tracing your body something you do in like kindergarten I mean unless your doing something with kids. Or maybe if your an art major or something.
4. When she told me she was doing something for her husband with it...I got slightly creeped out. I don't even want to think about what that meant.

So I pretended I had 2 other customers waiting. I know horrible. I lied. But seriously. Not my job to trace and cut you out of vinyl.

Then I had some woman who didn't know how to use a can opener. I tried to explain to her very nicely without making her feel stupid. That wasn't so bad. I have to admit I have met a can opener that confused me.

Finally after that the night got much slower and I was able to get some stuff done. Thank goodness because I think my manager Kathy would have killed me in the morning if I didn't get anything accomplished. But alas I did. I got 4 out of the 5 things done she had left me.

Then last but not least I had the pain in the ass, stupid cluster fuck of a man who made me explain the differences between every glass we had. I am not kidding. I wish I was. He had like twenty different ones picked out. I crap you not. He wanted to know the ounces that each held. Luckily I was able to look a few up. But that was only five. The other fifteen or however many it fucking was I had to take in the back room and actually measure out with a liquid measure. How stupid!!! Just put however much juice or water or whatever in the damn glass. It's a glass! Thats what its for. Why must you know all the differences. They are shaped differently. Some do hold more. He wanted to know the quality of glass. How should I know! Would you like me to go to wherever the hell they were made and ask them for you? Let me go hop on a plain right now for you. What do you want from 3 dollar and 50 cent glass. I could understand if it was crystal or china or something expensive but we are talking crappy drinking glass. WHO CARES.??!!??!!??. Forty five minutes later he finally left after lecturing about not knowing about glass. UGGHH!!! At least he made the time pass.

So there in lies my lovely night. At least I got a few laughs out of it.

Horrible HORRIBLE movie!!!

Monday was a great day. I had a good day at work, I went to Ian's house for dinner. I figured we would have a quiet night and then I would go home and go to bed. Life was good. But then after dinner we decided to watch a scary movie. We'd all pile onto one couch so we could be scared together. Now I am usually fine with scary movies. It usually takes a lot to scare me unless things jump out at me then I am a goner. I used to be forced to watch scary movies all the time so I got used to it. But this one....ooooh was I not ready for it. I don't think I will ever look at mirrors the same again. EVER. I think the name of the movie was Mirrors or Mirrors2. Something like that. Anyway it starts off with a murder( well gee who woulda thunk it?) or they think its a murder its really not but thats what the cops think. So basically for the first 20 minutes of the movie you see people get killed which under normal circumstances wouldn't be so bad lets all face it we've seen plenty of those movies. But this wasn't just ahh the person was shot or stabbed or whatever. This involved mirrors. This was every person that died was in front of a mirror, facing their reflection. Normal right? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Because then their reflection would suddenly move and turn and get an evil look in their eyes and pull out a knife or a piece of glass. The person would be like no no what are you doing put it down. No the reflection wouldn't put it down. It would stab itself or cut itself or chew on glass or whatever. Thus causing the actual person to feel the same pain. It was rediculous! One girl had just gotten out of the shower and got so freaked out that she fell backwards back through the glass door of the shower and could not get up because she was so cut up and of course her evil reflection then made a piece of glass fall down and slit her throat. What kind of fucking movie is this? Personally I would have run the fuck away from the mirror! Not watch my own reflection chew glass until my own mouth started bleeding. Needless to say it freaked me out and I was quite afraid of my reflection for a few days. Don't laugh at me! You try watching someone be killed by their reflection and not be able to control it or stop it...you would be freaked out too. Reflections should not be able to do that. Not okay. You later go on to find out about a missing girl who had been murdered. Her spirit was trapped in a mirror and was making everyones reflections kill them. I jumped off the couch the first time she showed up in the mirror. See???!!??!!??!!?? I hate mirrors now!! I have learned that I am okay with blood, gore, and things jumping out at me. I don't like freaky stuff. Moral of the story...don't watch this movie.

UGGHHH

SO ANGRY!!!....that is all.

I love sleep!! And today finally I got to sleep in without being bugged and woken up by workers hammering, sawing, jack hammering, or doing whatever at 6 or 7 am in the new house. Thank goodness. Plus as an added bonus I got to turn the clocks back! I know an hour isn't much and sometimes I don't even feel it but I assume its a good thing especially since I have been so exhausted. Anyway I think today will be a wonderful day. The Ravens play and will hopefully kick ass and then the Capitals play. Woot! Plus its beautiful out so I think I will find some way to be outside today because all the leaves are different colors and my backyard is gorgeous!

On Another Note

I love fall and winter! Although I am not so excited about having to listen to Christmas music all day at work. I was really hoping that wouldn't happen until at the very least the day after Thanksgiving. Speaking of which people are going crazy over Christmas already its crazy. It kind of makes me want to go out on black friday to watch people fight over stuff. I think I might do that this year. It sure beats working on that day. I think I refuse. hehe. Anyway you know what else...I don't think people should come to work drunk. Because when they do that they wear big glittery stupid santa hats that sing shout and dance all day. Yes you heard correctly that damn hat sings the song shout with some added christmas words and dances on top of your head. I must admit it is very amusing at first but trust me after 20 times you'll want to throw out of the nearest window or maybe chuck it at the wall because maybe that would break it. Personally I think 31.99 is pricey for said hat but maybe you disagree.

AGGHHHH!!!!

What is wrong with people? Isn't the whole girls and boys can be friends without being something more a thing you learn in like y fifth grade??!!?? I have a boyfriend that I love to pieces. He's awesome, he's amazing and frankly I am very happy with him. There are other men...boys...whatever you want to call them that I am good friends with some closer then others some I can talk to about anything with. Some I consider brothers. That does not mean I am in love with them. Because I am not. Grow up and get over it!!!! A girl can be in love with one guy and still be friends with others. Its not hard. Its actually a good thing. Obviously if you are in love with one guy and then apparently fall in love with others there is a problem. That is not me. So mind your own business. Thank you.
